Reading is Caring is a Scottish Book Trust programme which supports those caring for someone with dementia. Join this workshop to find out how you and the individual you care for can be supported to create personalised shared and sensory reading experiences that can help maintain your caring relationships, spark memories and relieve stress.

Reading is Caring is a Scottish Book Trust programme which seeks to support anyone caring for someone living with dementia, and the people they care for. Any care partner in Edinburgh, Lothians, Fife or the Scottish Borders can the access the free online or in-person workshops. These workshops equip carers with the knowledge and tools needed to undertake shared reading with someone living with dementia. Together, we select and tailor reading for the person they care for to ensure it is a peaceful, bonding and supportive experience.
