Thu 8 August, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeThis event is open to carers residing in or caring for a person in Edinburgh and Midlothian.
When: Thursday 8 August, 6pm – 7:30pm
About the event:
Join Occupational Therapist Rhona McAlpine to discuss individual differences rather than deficits in neurodiversity. Learn how we can focus on changes to the environment rather than attempt to ‘fix’ the individual and how we can promote positive mental health and wellbeing in children and young people with Additional Support Needs.
This workshop is suitable for carers of young people and adults with ASN.
Delivered by:
Rhona McAlpine, Occupational Therapist. Rhona is an HCPC registered OT with over fifteen years of experience working in child and adolescent mental health services. She is passionate about supporting positive mental health and wellbeing by adopting and promoting a neurodiverse-affirming approach.
